Why we're building Flocus

A good 1:1 tutor is one of the most effective ways to learn something — not because they know more than a textbook, but because they won't let you move on until you've actually got it, and because they show up on a schedule instead of leaving the discipline entirely up to you.

Most people preparing for something — a course, an entrance exam, a certification, an interview — already know they should study consistently. What actually happens is a packed week, and then a few frantic nights before the deadline. Studying alone in that mode rarely sticks, and generic AI chat doesn't fix it: it's fast at producing an answer, which makes it very easy to copy one without ever building the understanding a real tutor would have insisted on.

Flocus is our attempt to fix both problems at once: a tutor that doesn't just answer — it guides you toward the answer with hints, and only tells you outright once you're genuinely stuck — and a routine built around actually showing up, not just a chat window that's there if you remember to open it.

We're building this in the open, starting with adults studying for a course, an exam, or an interview. Here's why we're starting there, and what's next. Flocus is live on Google Play now — this site exists to tell that story honestly, what's real today versus what's still coming.
